Drew & Katie [Gonzales, LA]

I would have to say that this was one of my favorite weddings to have the opportunity to be a part of and shoot! First of all, the bride Katie has always been a good family friend and one of my sister’s best friends. And if being able to spend the day photographing such a great family and such a beautiful bride and groom was not good enough, I got to take all these photos in Louisiana, right outside Baton Rouge. My assistant Natalie and I flew into the capital a couple days before the wedding  and took a day trip to New Orleans while we were in the area. For the remainder of the weekend, both Katie and Drew’s family did an amazing job making sure we had a great trip and was also amazing in including us in many of the pre-wedding festivities. It’s times like these where I could not ask for a better career. :)

This band (Rewind) was completely incredible. Their eclectic music (varying from classic swing music all the way to “The Wobble”) caused people of every age to dance throughout the whole evening. There was never a dull moment at this reception.

Assistant Photos of the Day

Taken by Natalie Loftus

Katie’s first look with her father :)

Katie’s sister and maid of honor. I was shooting the groomsmen when they saw each other for the first time that day, and Natalie is AMAZING and captured these shots.

I asked Natalie to get the most creative angle she could for the kiss while I captured a traditional shot of it. I’d say she nailed it. :)

Jordan & Amy [Greenfield, IN]

Check out this quick shoot we did for Jordan & Amy’s save-the-dates. We visited Amy’s family’s farm for the session [hence all the John Deere tractors :) ] — stay tuned for more shots to come of this couple in the spring when we complete their full engagement session!
